With 320 days of sunshine a year……Spain is the place to be……
The Costa Blanca is a haven of beaches and water sports. Bowling and golf are among the most popular activites enjoyed on the Costa Blanca.There is a bowling green within walking distance of the complex where member's cancan enjoy social games and competitions. Spain's national bowls team contains several British players from the Costa Blanca.
Shoppers are spoilt for choice. Every town has a weekly market. The nearest one to the complex is in San Miguel de Salinas on a Wednesday. However, there is a mini-bus on site which will be making regular trips to markets further afield. The big cities of Orihuela, Elche, Alicante and Murcia all have every shop your heart could desire.
On the Costa Blanca you can enjoy the wonderful Mar Menor, the world's largest lagoon covering 170 square kilometres where the salt water lagoon has been enjoyed by bathers since the Roman times with the waters are said to be very beneficial for health.
There is a large marina in Torrevieja with its Museum of Salt and Sea that boasts a fully functioning submarine and Coast Guard patrol boat, these you can see all for free! Trips from Torrevieja to the Island of Tabarca where the sea is so clear it is a haven for snorkelling and scuba diving.
Alicante has its fair share of museums, marinas and castles. There are over 200 castles in the Alicante province and its bordering regions. Every year San Javier, next to Murcia airport has a Jazz festival, where famous musicians come and play.
If your interests are more sedentary, there are many, many clubs and societies in the area which offer a very wide range of activities including bird watching, bingo, quizzes, singing, dancing and raising money for charity.
The one thing you won't be at Villamartin Hills is bored!.
